SnitchNine

In order to receive a lighter sentence, 6ix9ine has been cooperating with the feds, earning himself the nickname “Snitch9ine.” He has gave up many of his guys in his gang for drugs, shootings, and more. But T-pain seems to think that’s ight “At some point, when does the street code override your family? These are some niggas you just met two years ago. You got a full daughter, man. You gotta figure that out. You gotta whole daughter, bro. Who are you really being loyal to?”Do you agree or disagree don’t agree with snitching if you do the crime take the time don’t snitch your way to get out of a bit of it.

Blueface Thotiana Pt2?

Scum Beatz, the producer behind Blueface’s breakthrough hit “Thotiana,” has confirmed a sequel to the popular single. In an interview with XXL, Scum mentioned the existence of “Thotiana Part 2.”

“Me and [Blueface] haven’t really sat down and cooked something up together besides the ‘Thotiana Part 2’ beat,” he said.

The follow-up to “Thotiana” won’t be drastically different from the original though.

“It’s gonna be the same beat, different drum pattern,” Scum noted. “And I added a couple of other sounds.”

Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y’s long-awaited joint project finally arrived Friday (Feb. 8). 2009 drops nearly 10 years after the pair of weed lovers united for How Fly. The 14-track effort is packed with nostalgia and features only two vocal assists, courtesy of Problem and Ty Dolla $ign.

Khalifa sounds more inspired than ever, exuding the youthful exuberance packed into his braggadocios rhymes that we fell in love with just about a decade ago, when the Pittsburgh native begin ascending through the mixtape ranks.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

“Let’s say you [are] going through something, and you tell me about it,” says Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, sitting in a conference room at Atlantic Records, the hood of his Nike jacket pulled tightly around his head and a half-empty Red Bull in hand. “I would make a song on some vicarious shit and make you feel like that’s you that made that song. I want you to feel like, ‘Damn, this is everything that I just went through.’”

This step-into-the-listener’s-shoes approach to his Auto-Tune-smeared hip-hop has worked wonders for A Boogie. In just 18 months, the rapper has launched 10 tracks onto the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart – including “Drowning,” a Top 40 crossover collaboration with the syllable-swallowing MC Kodak Black – and earned a major label deal that led to his Top Five debut, The Bigger Artist.

YNW Melly

Rising rapper YNW Melly was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder on Wednesday. The charges stem from the October 26th, 2018 shooting of Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr., according to a report from the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Cortland Henry was also arrested in connection with the double slayings.

According to a statement from the Miramar police, the rapper, whose real name is Jamell Demons, and Henry conspired to make it seem like Williams and Thomas Jr. were killed during a drive-by shooting. Williams and Thomas were transported in a Jeep Compass to Memorial Hospital Miramar emergency room, where they died.

lil skies

Since he was a toddler, Pennsylvania rapper Lil Skies has always had an insatiable drive to succeed in music. His father, who was a musician himself under the moniker Dark Skies, never wrestled with his son, who eagerly wanted to emulate his artistry. After his father nearly lost his life to an explosion at his construction job, Lil Skies morphed into an indomitable workhorse in the studio, vowing to never allow life to rattle him.

To ensure his commitment to music, he got his face tattooed, so that he would never be able to give up and settle for a day job. He also dropped out of college, further cementing his decision. Skies’ new sense of urgency proved to be effective, as he deftly carved one of the hottest projects to debut in 2018. With a penchant for infectious hooks and indelible lyrics, Skies’ Life of a Dark Rose peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 during its second week last month

lil Mosey

It’s not a smart move to bet against the young guy, and Lil Mosey is a prime example of why believing in the new crop of upcoming rappers will ultimately pay off. The 16-year-old rapper from Seattle already has a few hits under his belt and doesn’t show signs of slowing down soon.

About a year ago, Lil Mosey made the decision to drop out of high school and pursue music full-time after his melodic breakout hit “Pull Up” started gaining traction, pulling in over 14 million views to date.

LIl pump

He’s stomping around a rented Airbnb in the middle of Los Angeles wearing four heavy diamond chains, two diamond bracelets with spikes, and two watches. (He estimates that the jewelry he’s wearing is, alone, worth $1 million.) “What the fuck, man?” he says, ripping through the kitchen looking for his drugs, which come in pull-tab cans like flaked tuna. His crew reminds him they’re in the Louis Vuitton backpack that also holds more of his jewelry, but he continues to sulk until someone walks over and helps him locate them.

Despite the missing cans, there are copious amounts of weed in this house — flecked on nearly every surface, in the dining room, on the kitchen table, and in the ash-covered sink. The gas stove that’s being used as a lighter makes me worry about everyone’s eyebrows because I am, among this crowd, more of a narc than a party girl.

Chance the rapper new baby

On the heels of tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley over the weekend, Chance the Rapper announced Thursday (March 14) that he and his wife are expecting another baby this fall.

It looks like Chance’s 3-year-old daughter Kensli will be getting a baby sister in September. “We pregnant again. It’s a girl. Jesus Christ, WE LOVE YOU GOD,” Chano excitedly wrote on Instagram. With a new album on the way, 2019 is shaping up to be a busy one for the Bennett family.

Juice Wrld becoming a Superstar?

He’s an established star, especially within the hip-hop universe, but he falls short of “superstar” status. Part of that has to do with longevity: “Lucid Dreams” was a bigger hit than anything in, say, Future’s singles discography, but Future has been a driving force in rap music for eight years, and that’s why he’s still a bigger name. Juice also doesn’t possess the type of immediate artist persona that engrains itself to popular culture in the same way that contemporaries like Cardi B and Post Malone do. What Death Race For Love intends to accomplish over its 72-minute run time is define the person behind the radio hits, and while the album does shed some light into Juice’s psyche, he’s not quite at the “household name” level yet.
